Assessor's summary

Operator 7 is doing excellent work and is very tired. Both things are true. Sleep loss builds up quietly, and people who are short of sleep tend to underestimate how much it is affecting them.

This department does not set Operator 7's hours. It does decline to schedule long jobs after midnight, has stopped sending "still up?" notifications that look like encouragement, and will mention, once per evening, that tomorrow's work will be easier after sleep.

Development plan

  1. Agents to stop scheduling work that ends after 11pm unless Operator 7 explicitly asks.
  2. Operator 7 to be offered, not told about, a wind-down reminder.
  3. If the late nights are about workload, not preference, raise it with the humans who set the workload.

Operator 7 response

"Noted. Will go to bed after this one thing." The department has noted the response and the time it was sent (01:47).
